Should it more appropriate to move to Yussuf Yurary Poulsen ? His shirt name is Yurary, and probably his parental surname, while Poulsen is from mother side. On top of this, his commonly name seem just Poulsen. Matthew_hktc09:58, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
He is known as Yussuf Poulsen in Denmark, but started to use Yurary on his national team jersey because there were several players called Poulsen on the team at that time (2014/15), and he at one point got mistaken for teammate Simon Poulsen by a commentator. It's his father's surname, and he also played football and introduced him to the game when he was little so it's a kind of tribute to him. He uses Poulsen when paying for his club. He never had much contact with his Tanzanian father, who died when he was six. So the mother has clearly been the primary caretaker during his upbringing and it's natural that he has her family name as surname. Despite the jersey name he isn't known as Yurary so I see little reason for renaming the article, and there is already a redirect.--Batmacumba (talk) 19:45, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
